World Energy Services (WES) strategic growth continues as they increase their foothold in the renewable energy service providers market with the opening of their new office in the heart of Ho Chi Minh City Vietnam.
The economy in Vietnam is growing at an exponential rate, with this growth comes an increased demand for energy and electricity. To meet this demand new power plants are being built, especially coal-fired power plants. However, renewable energy sources such as Wind and Hydro are beginning to contribute to the installed national capacity, couple this with the governments ambitious targets for the development of renewable energy and Vietnam quickly becomes a very attractive proposition for investors, EPC’s and service providers.
Managing Director World Energy Services, John Duffy said, “We have opened the office in Ho Chi Minh City to provide the full scope of services needed to help realise and develop the country’s renewable energy projects and infrastructure, and we are confident we can echo the success of our operations in Thailand,”
“It is common knowledge in the renewable energy sector that Vietnam is considered to have the best wind resources in Southeast Asia, with over 3,200 km of coastline the potential for nearshore/offshore and onshore wind farms is huge.”
Mr Duffy also added that “WES will continue to identify emerging markets in the sector to seek out new possibilities and relationships.”
The new office is located on the 3rd floor of the Smart View Office Building, Tran Hung Dao, District 1.
